ED is canceled once you leave the country without getting a re-entry permit. And then you would apply in a different country, not while in thailand. I did it this way and no issue.

how can anyone even know how

much money you brought into the country when you dont have a thai bank account? where would you even get that overview and proof for filing the tax return form?

then you are misinformed. people do it all the time. 100% legit… to change it to ED you need at least 3-4 weeks left on your stamp, in some provinces more. as the process takes time. letter from MOE + process in immigration. its standard and commonly used. i have friends that even changed visa to retirement inside the country.

not much you can do… fly to thailand and hope it gets approved. just re-enter the country then… but if you are unlucky they want an interview at the embassy in london which would be kinda bad.

that doesnt matter. the prohibited job list is when you have a business in thailand and a work permit… the DTV prohibits ANY work in thailand. you are only allowed to work remotely / for entities outside of thailand.

i usualy merge multiple documents into one file, then save that in a file size that is still allowed (i guess 3MB)… but depending on your documents and your individual case you might just be done with 3-4 documents. the DTV application is super easy.

yes thats possible and many people did that and still do. your school will guide you through the process. easy.

you can very well change visa. inform yourself about the TM86. And changing from TR/Exemption to ED is often done inside the country.

the visa is valid for 5 years and you get 180 days when you enter the county. that can be now, that can be in 3 months, that can be in a year. whenever. you will always get a fresh 180 days on entry
