@Henrik ***
😂 how is me not being an insufferable beta-farang re immigration corruption fear-mongering when you’re continually projecting your own insecurities? Are you PO’d cause you’re running out of options?

@Henrik ***
your tepid fear-mongering is wasted on me.

Honestly never had any issues at an in country immigration office here. Always been at consulates and checkpoints and even then wasn’t that bad.

Try getting out of Bogotá and into the US with just a stamp and a smile.

Rule of thumb re cops & $.

Unless they can provide a detailed receipt go to or meet them at the closest station to finalize it.

If a traffic stop do same even if you have to call Grab to bring you there because most won’t let you use your bike/vehicle as thats part of the grift.

If you can’t speak Thai call Tourist police AFTER they’re finished with you or there’s a break in the discussion.

1155 or (+66) 2308-0333

If it happens more than once get them in front of a dash cam or house cam and retain a lawyer.

Mail Box ETC…a legitimate company like the ones in the states want ID, etc..

Central Rama 9 used to have a place there but not sure anymore.

Only place I know of that anyone actually used was in Bangkok…might be others. Try Bangkok expats forum.

Here’s the place.

If someone in your girlfriends family has a government job and is willing to vouch for you (ie cosign on your account) some banks will consider giving you an account. After a probate period (up to the bank) you can open an account on your own.

This was my case in Ubon with Kasikorn and SCB.

2016 in Bangkok I could walk into most any bank and get an account with tourist visa. Had one with Bangkok Bank and KrungThai but went a year without a deposit and lost both.

Ok so I had to dig deeper into this just because I’m building knowledge re marriage and kids here 😂.

The 22 he saw stamped is from a koror 22 that is a registration form used to certify a Thai marriage outside of Thailand to a Thai national. The koror 2 is the fancy marriage certificate and the koror 3 is the marriage registration. Kor ror 11, again I’m just building my “database” here 😂, is a certification that acknowledges a newborn outside of marrige so I’m assuming this would be filed after a child legitimization was completed by the courts.

@Chris ******
thought a Khor ror 2 was a dated copy of your marriage registration. He’s talking about a photocopy of a residence certificate?

change the personal address of your bank card to an address of a family member then report the card stolen and have them send you another card and/or request online statement of account emailed to you if address is listed or just have them mail it to that address.
