Thank you for the shout out! Just to share the application is done entirely online, and the embassies that process the approvals are in Hanoi and HCMC.
We have applicants that got accepted with bank balances between 1-3 months, but it really depends on the overall profile and also the financial activities. Generally it is advisable to keep a longer bank balance if you are able to.
It's not common that this is requested but this question comes up during the in person interviews (which is common for some countries like Myanmar, Japan and Laos)
It's good to have your answers ready, i.e. what are you doing in Thailand, how you support yourself.
Generally they want to ensure that dtv visa applicants are not using the visa to find work in Thailand.
Just to add to others, along with your printed E-visa, do print out your other supporting documents in the case that the immigration requests for them. It doesn't happen often but it's good to be prepared!
Our 6-month program is THB 18,900 and 12-month program is 36,900.
Please let us know where you have seen this price of $45,000
We have turned down multiple "agents" who only wanted to purchase enrollment documents from us. We do not engage with any agents who plan to abuse this system.
I'm just sharing from our experience working with various types of applicants. Some people may prefer not to be bogged down by the submission process and don't mind paying for this service. Who are we to judge their decision if they value their time more than spending it on this process?
The embassy does not refund the THB 10,000, but the company we work with — Issa Compass — does. They check the overall profile before deciding whether to accept the case. It would take you three minutes to confirm this on their website or social media — they are not a small company. We work closely with them for our applicants.
Also, the applicants are applying from the country they are in — not from within Thailand. Hope this clarifies
Hi Marco, like someone else has commented. It really depends on whether you are applying under Workation or Thai Soft Power.
Applying under workation scheme requires more documentation and scrutiny like foreign employment contract, copy of business registration, professional portfolio, among other documents.
Applying under Thai Soft Power requires enrolling in a cultural activity like our cooking programs, or a Muay Thai course. The requirements are less for Thai Soft Power but requires the additional course registration.
Regarding duration of application, that depends on your nationality and country of application. For Germany, it is currently difficult to get approved under Thai Soft Power. We have recent applicants who were approved using our school program and applying from SEA countries such as Philippines, Vietnam and Laos.
Hope this helps and happy to share more details for our program if you wish to find out more. We also work with some of the leading visa agencies and law firms who uses our cooking school for their DTV clients and can assist with the application process.
Just jumping in here: From our experience, applicants who choose to get support from an agent do so as a risk mitigation. In our case, we work closely with Issa Compass and they deal with a large number of applications and understand how the individual embassies prefer the documents prepared.
Ultimately, their offer of a money back guarantee not only on their service fee but also on the application fee in the case of rejection (or assist with a 2nd application if they deem viable) gives the applicants who choose them a peace of mind and a sort of insurance on the application fee.
