It is not common that the immigration stops to ask questions when entering. However, if you see from other posts, there are occasions when the officer asks questions regarding your visit. Several questions mentioned are what you are doing in Thailand and how you are supporting yourself.. etc.

You should be prepared with all the supporting documents used when you applied for the DTV visa, along with the answers to those questions that make the most sense to which DTV visa option you applied under. I.e. Workation or Thai Soft Power.

Overall what the officers are concerned about is how you can financially support yourself living in Thailand, and whether you could be in Thailand looking for work.

The issue you mentioned about your bank statement doesn't sound like a very major concern by itself.

From our experience handling applicants, the embassies do look at the overall applicant's profile too, i.e. amount of money in bank, age, nationality, etc. There are many other factors which is hard to gather from your post alone.

From what you mentioned about the soft power document being flagged out too, I recommend requesting more documents from your gym. Along with submitting your bank account for daily use + your savings account (if they still have your case open).

For example, our school enrollment letter includes:

- Cover letter with applicant and program details

- Class itinerary

- Payment receipt

- School profile and pictures

- Company registration certificate

- Thai owner's ID

We have not had any issues with our school documents till date.

Like some others have mentioned, you have to travel to another country to apply for the DTV visa. Popular destinations near Thailand are Vietnam, Philippines and Laos.

That being said, the country you should choose to apply from also depends on your nationality. Generally, applying from your home country is recommended (unless you're Singaporean, Malaysian or Japanese).

1) We've not experienced any issues with our applicants using more than 1 bank account. That being said, if you have time before your planned date of application, there is no harm in combining the bank accounts.

2) Definitely no issue using a different currency. In fact, adding extra documentation with the conversion may confuse the officers at the embassy and negatively affect your case.

There is no issue with using a Thai condo or house when applying for the DTV visa. We've assisted many applicants using them with no issues.

Please note that for Pakistani passport you can only apply from Vietnam if you have residency there e.g. work visa, residency visa. It is not what some others have suggested. For Pakistani passport you can only apply in Cambodia, Indonesia or Pakistan.

We've assisted some other Pakistani nationals under Thai Soft Power before so we're a little bit familiar.

Thanks again for the shoutout! Just to share — many of Thailand’s top visa agencies (like Issa Compass, Siam Legal, and Baan Thai Immigration) use our DTV-eligible cooking program because it’s straightforward, trusted, and comes with a full money-back guarantee in case of rejection.

Happy to answer any questions or help guide others through the process.
