I may be wrong in this, but you sure about the legality? Technically its a loan, don’t think immigrant care about the source? I know people doing this, as parking 800k is a net loss vs keeping the 800k in the market.

Unless the risk is high, this was my plan when i reach 50.

But still a while, and if i can still get DTV the it’s probably a better option anyway.

just walk in, no appointment. But I would recommend to download and pre-fill the application form (generic form on their website). But sign it there

No, but technically/legally you may get asked for the “3 proofs”. Although it rarely happens

- Return ticket within 60 days (departing airline may ask)

- 20k baht equivalent in CASH (can be in Eur, GBP, usd etc)

- first 3 nights accommodation booking

Personally I always bring to be safe, realistically they typically ask only when they want to find a reason to deny entry (looking dodgy etc). But if the immigration officer has a bad day….

Apllied monday, picked it up today Thursday.

On Monday she just quickly screened the documents, asked asked me to confirm the money was in EUR. Took 5 minutes and gave me a pickup receipt and told me it will be ready Thursday. What took longest was counting the 5.6 million IDR fee (cash only) 😅Picking up took 3 seconds haha.

09:30 a 12:00 is opening hours for visa applications.

13:30 to 15:00 for passport pickup.
