I think different banks have different policies rather than branches. As the OP is with Bangkok Bank it is their policy that is important to him.

As this is your second extension of a non immigrant O (O-A) is different.

You need to show at least 800k Baht for the last 2 months, 400j for the 9 months before that and 800k 1 month after your last extension.

I could not agree more. Anyone who managed to get to live in Thailand can certainly manage a trip to the bank, photocopy a couple of documents and fill in a form.

Alan you have no legal requirement to tell your landlord anything.

the STV is not available in all countries. Check at your local Embassy or Consulate.

if you are looking to holiday for up to 270 days then the new Special Tourist Visa (STV) is probably the best option.

If you want to stay longer there are a range of visas available. The requirements of these visas are dependent on age (above 50), dependents, money (either as a fee or an investment), education or work.

As a very wise man says in Thailand there is always an option.

@Denis ****
understand that, but if you are planning to be here in Thailand for longer than 90 days should choose a visa that matches your requirements.

if you know you are going to stay longer than 90 days maybe the STV is ihe best option.

In answer to your question yes it is possible. In reality it is only really practical if you are coming for a lot longer than the standard 2 week holiday. You will need to stay in a quarentine hotel (ASQ) for 14 nights on arrival. You will also need medical insurance, negative COVID test before you fly and you flight will be a lot more expensive than before COVID-19. If that is you then I hear the process is quite straightforward. There are people on this group who can give you first hand information on the process.

great advice. That is exactly what I was going to advise.
