Anyone know if it's possible to enter Thailand at the moment with a British passport? I've read a lot of mixed information and although some blogs report tourists from all countries now being accepted, there is still no update that states this on the UK GOV website nor on the site of the Thai embassy in the UK.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, UK passport holders can currently enter Thailand, but there are specific requirements such as obtaining a tourist visa, a Certificate of Entry, and undergoing a 14-night quarantine. The Thai Embassy in London has updated its website with information on the process, which includes medical insurance and negative COVID-19 test results. It may be more practical for those planning longer stays rather than short holidays.
In answer to your question yes it is possible. In reality it is only really practical if you are coming for a lot longer than the standard 2 week holiday. You will need to stay in a quarentine hotel (ASQ) for 14 nights on arrival. You will also need medical insurance, negative COVID test before you fly and you flight will be a lot more expensive than before COVID-19. If that is you then I hear the process is quite straightforward. There are people on this group who can give you first hand information on the process.
Yes, Individuals from any country can obtain a tourist visa. However, I’ve seen some post from citizens in Britain saying they can’t go to the embassy because of the lockdown.
Yes it is possible. Recently the London embassy updated their website to show that tourist visa holders could now obtain certificate of entry. Lots of hoops to jump through to get in but possible. On their website check the link that shows conditions for “Certificate of Entry” and you’ll get the requirements for a tourist visa.
- what kind of hoops are we talking? I'm hearing that the most daunting is the quarantine fee (£2,000 kinda figure)... is this correct or is it possible for less?
