Foreign sourced income brought into Thailand is taxable subject to the Revenue Department’s guidelines if you stay 180 days or more.

For your first extension, you will have to use the 800,000 method. Normally two months before applying and 3 months after.

Some people have reported that some Bangkok Bank branches now require the funds to be deposited for longer than two months, otherwise they will not issue you the certificate.

Please check with your local Immigration Office as well as your local bank branch.

Go KBank.

I have BB as well but KBank was super easy to deal with.

is there a reason for trying to be a smart ass when people are genuinely looking for advice?

it depends on which immigration office you will be attending. Apparently, some will do it in one day. Mine takes 7 weeks.

My advice would be to go to your local Immi to get a list of their requirements.

Good luck 😃

No need to use an agent.

Just go to your local Immigration office once you get here (with your No O obtained from overseas) and ask them what their requirements are for an extension. The requirements vary from office to office.

Good luck 😃

Your embassy/consulate should be able to advise you.
