thank you but I’m not really sure why people are taking such an interest in my visa status. 😂

Som dude told me that I’m on a marriage visa which I am NOT.

I am very aware of which visa I applied for and what was stamped in my passport when I arrived.

As I said in my initial post, I came in on a Non O visa and recently got my 12 month extension of stay based on being 50+ years of age and a lot of people refer to this as a retirement visa.

Im really happy for you that you get that.

But, as you would have realised by now, every IO is different and most branches are different too.

Yeah it’s weird with all these rules. At least this part will be easier going forward now. Thank you.

I’m not on a marriage visa. I’m on a Non O. I am aware of what visa I have 😂

But you’re obviously not in Samui…

I went into a Bangkok Branch and ordered 12 months worth and was told it would take 5 days to arrive via email. The file arrived the following day. I called BB’s call centre beforehand and was told I could not order via email nor phone. Only option was to go to a branch…

Yes. 45 days before expiry, go to Immigration with all documentation except bank stuff and medical certificate. At that point, you make an appointment date and time to come back just before your visa expires to present the remaining documents. 📃 You then pay the fee and they ask you to come back in a week to pick up your passport. 7 weeks…

This was my first 12 month extension of my Non O.

it depends entirely on your IO. In Samui, they have a whole stack of requirements and the bank statements are not even 25%. It’s also now a 7 week process involving 3 trips to the office…

I would advise against it.

Why don’t you get a Non O for yourself and a multi entry visa for your wife?

Nobody can tell you what is safe or not safe. It’s up to the immigration officer 👮 on the day. They are getting more and more strict.

I would advise you to get the appropriate visas.

I hope this helps. 😃
