TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for an extension of stay based on a Non-O Retirement visa, the 800,000 baht must be in your Thai bank account for at least 2 months prior to applying. It does not matter where the money comes from, as long as it's deposited in the required timeframe.

For an extension of stay based on a Non-O Retirement visa it doesn't matter where the 800k baht comes from. Only that its in your account for the required time
while that is true, as per the law, do remember that the immigration office/officer has the discretion to require further documentation than the law requires as a minimum, if they deem it necessary. Many people have been asked to provide proof of the source of income. Both for banked money and monthly transfers. For most that means providing some pension documents and/or statements from the home country bank.
The 800k must be in your bank account 2 months before applying for the extension of stay.

that is the minimum requirement of time. and if the money are on my account already but i am going to apply in february they will still want to know where the money came from
For the initial Non O visa in country it’s has to be shown as an international transfer. If you enter on a Non O visa it’s normally sufficient to prove the funds in your account two months prior to your application for extension. If you want to change to the monthly income metode later it also has to be shown as an international transfer.
