That is not really a significant feature of Cambodia - Thailand migration or trafficking patterns. It’s far more likely to be a young male traveling to work illegally on fishing boats off the gulf of Thailand. And would probably be more of a concern to labour and interior ministries than to an immigration officer stamping her passport. I’ve never heard that to be an issue for Cambodians unless someone else has better info?
they need to show bank account to get the tourist visa in Phnom Penh, but on several occasions a Cambodian was not asked for anything when getting the visa waiver at suvarnaphumi airport - simply stamped in for 14 days.
yep understood. And it wouldn’t exactly make financial sense to be flying in and out every 14 days if you were abusing the system and secretly working....
