Feel sorry for your accident. If you have any police report and already got the report from your insurance that should help. Without both cannot do anything much.

At least you need fix address first. Then go for account non residential bank account.

Any bank can process it without any visa require

Only for this bank account you have to be at the bank for all process (they do not give permission to do online transaction)

In thailand the buyer side has more risky when transfer the money to seller. Cause they cannot dispute or do anything after money transfered. For big item suggest to meet in person checking and transfer on the site.

You can ask them for bank account type "Non residentail Bank Account"

Only con is you need to go to bank everytime when you need to withdrawn the money.

Nothing to do with the insurance policy to open the bank account. Now the law has changed cannot open the bank account with tourist visa anymore.

But if you have tourist visa you can open bank account by request the bank account type "Non Residential Bank Account"
