TLDR : Answer Summary
Opening a bank account in Bangkok without a visa or fixed address is challenging but not impossible. Most banks require proof of address, which can be a lease or a residency certificate from your embassy. Bangkok Bank is mentioned as one of the few banks that might allow account openings for tourists under certain conditions. Some users reported success in opening accounts with just a passport and no proof of address, but this may depend on the specific branch and can vary by time. It's generally advisable to be present in Thailand and have an established address, even temporarily, to navigate the banking system more effectively.

How to get an address for opening bank account: 1) Find someone you trust, 2) register for post paid mobile line under your name using the address of the person u trust, remember dont get any promo package with lockin, 3) wait for your monthly bill to be sent, 4) get the monthly bill with your name sent to the address of person u trust ( u need to trust the person enough such that she will give you your bill or you waste one month waiting for nothing), 5) use this to open bank account, 6) last step cancel the post paid mobile plan, unless u need it of course.
Not sure why you need a local bank account, but why don't you consider something like wise?

I think Bangkok Bank is your best bet. Try several branches before giving up. I got an account there easily a couple years ago. Jomtien branch. They set up the online banking ap on my phone (essential) and issued a debit card on the spot.

At least you need fix address first. Then go for account non residential bank account.
Any bank can process it without any visa require
Only for this bank account you have to be at the bank for all process (they do not give permission to do online transaction)

I opened an account at Krungsri bank and they didn't ask for proof of address. Only my passport was required. They weren't concerned about what kind of visa I had either. But that was some time ago so I'm not sure if their policy has changed.
You can use my bank account if you like. I'll send you the details for the deposit. 🙏🏼

You need something which confirms your address. Either lease or certificate of residency.

Bangkok bank is that only one that officially allows tourists to get bank account.
Your embassy can issue a paper that works where they state that you state that you live there and there. Shouldnt be hotel address.
You also need to go to embassy to verify/certify your passport. So you might as well do both in one visit.
Deposit at least 100 thb.
This is the official rules of bkk bank. Other banks, officially, ask for long term work visas.
Yes. Some have gotten "lucky" with other banks, and bringing a Thai friend with account there might help. But who knows who have access to the account then. Lol...
