at Immigration show BOTH US passports and they will stamp you in on ur NEW emergency passport

using the visa in ur cancelled passport>

If u enter on a visa exempt ( 30 days ) or tourist visa, ( 60 days) that can be extended ONCE for 30 days /trip!

OR if ur married to a thai 60 day extension/trip
