my wife and I are on a sabbatical actually, our intention was to stay in Thailand for 1 year but we were told by our embassy that we didn’t need to go in and out of the country and just go through the report after 90 days process at the local immigration in thailand.

thank you so much for your very clear and swift reply ! Very helpful! May I ask you, how come some people with the same type of visa ( I’m not a 100 percent sure on this one) just need to go to immigration and report every 90 days and I have to leave and re-enter the country? Also, I heard of a covid extension that can be made for 60 days, can I apply for that and then apply for a “visit to thai family “for 60 days? This is just to buy me time so I can set my bank account because the money needs to be in there for 2 months so I understand. Finally , is the “as married to a Thai “ visa the same as “supporting a Thai wife” visa? Thanks again so much!
