Yes, just that showing that you cancelled your work permit. VISAS are not cancelled.

Then you must cancel your work permit, but you can stay until 10 May no problem]

OK, while the school can cancel your work permit, it is your responsibility. You take the letter the Labour office give you and then go to immigration and cancel your extension of stay and leave that date, (you can do this ahead of time). If however you are on an actual VISA then you can stay until your permitted date.
