Hello everyone my Non-B visa expires on September 15th, but I need to be in the UK from July 20th - September 20th (I currently have a return flight to Thailand on September 21st).
Iβm not able to renew my visa before I leave so what are my options?
- Does anyone know if itβs possible to apply for a shorter 1 month Non-B visa extension or something before I go?
- Has anyone renewed their Non-B visa in London recently? How long did it take and is it a smooth / reliable process?
- Do I have any other options?
Thank you very much in advance π

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is facing an issue with their Non-B visa expiring on September 15, but they need to be in the UK from July 20 to September 20. They are seeking advice on whether they can apply for a short extension before leaving Thailand, if others have successfully renewed their Non-B visa in London, and what their options are. Responses indicate that there is no short extension available, renewal cannot be done outside Thailand, and they will likely need to start the visa process over upon return to Thailand or find options to apply for a new visa while in the UK.
you need to renew your extension in Thailand. Otherwise your only option is a new Visa.

There is no "renewal" outside of Thailand, they are done at your local immigration office. With your outlined story you're basically hooped. Start again from square one, whether that be in the UK applying for a new visa or upon returning to Thailand. You need to cancel your work permit and extension or you're going to be encountering other problems.

Given you're in the UK for 2 months have you stopped working?

OK you are on an extension and not a visa. There is no short term extension. If you want to apply in London for a new Non-B then you need to cancel this extension and your work permit, and have all the paperwork including a WP3 from your employer. I really don't think you have any options really, (let's hope I am wrong).
