Hello all,

I just wanted to confirm please πŸ™πŸΎ

For a person with a US passport if they arrive in Thailand by air (June 03) they get 30 days for that entry and can extend for an additional 30 days at an immigration office (we are in Chiang Mai)

When the 30 day extension expires they will need to leave Thailand for a border run is that still correct?

Also any suggestions for border runs would also be appreciated I have not done one in a long time so I am not sure what her options are πŸ™πŸΎ

Thank you in advance πŸ™πŸΎ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US passport holder arriving in Thailand by air is granted a 60-day visa upon entry, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office, such as those in Chiang Mai. After the 30-day extension expires, the individual will need to leave Thailand to perform a border run. Suggestions for border run locations are welcome, especially for individuals who haven't done one in a while.

It doesn’t matter when you enter at the moment you’ll get stamped in for 60 days and extend for 30 take a look at the date in your passport

@Iman *******
if you arrived June 3 2025 then your stamped in 60 days. This is extendable for another 30 days and then you need to leave the country

"if they arrive in Thailand by air (June 03) " are you talking next year, they are already here or is that a typo?
