There are no more 15 day visa exempt land entries. Everyone who qualifies for 30 days by air now gets 30 days by land, but limited to 2x per calendar year.

You must physically exit Thailand, even if just long enough to enter Cambodia (with VOA $30usd) and turn around and go back. You then get 30-days (not 15 as was prior to 31-12-2016 change of policy). Note you can only do visa-exempt LAND entry twice per calendar year. Also note, if you have numerous visa exemptions and tourist visas in your passport, the Poipet border guys have been known to raise questions if you are a "tourist".
