nice! Let's hope that well before 30-april, wisdom prevails and they announce whether the amnesty continues or if not then a Grace period to apply for extension is given. Don't want thousands on your doorstep come 1-May! 😉
Thanks for the recommendations! So if I have done one NORMAL(non-covid) extension that expires on 23-April, then no need to go to Chaeng Wattana (Div 1) ?
Thanks Mike. I'm not trying to threadcr*p, but a few people on Thaivisa forum report that they brought their previously extended visa exemption stamped passport to Chaeng Wattana in Bangkok, and were informed that only regular visas expiring past 26-March get the automatic extension. This is very alarming because a lot of people may get a NASTY SURPRISE if they go way past their stamp date thinking they were okay and then finding out they have to pay some big overstay fines. Could you please shed some light? It feels like the left and right hands aren't talking to the head in Immigration right now. :(
What happens with folks who have "under consideration" stamps? Technically they do not have a permission to stay until the consideration is converted to a permitted stamp. Right?
"Good news at last! The prime minister has now signed the visa amnesty document. I’m told the Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau has just briefed all police officers on this. Hopefully there will be an official statement very soon #COVID19 #โควิด19 #Thailand
