Chiang Mai Immigration. 13 April, 2020. 9:00AM.

I guess people got the memo....

Small handful of Non-Imm renewal/extensions taking place, but that is it.

Stay safe, everyone.

TLDR : Answer Summary
During the Covid-19 pandemic, as of April 13, 2020, Chiang Mai Immigration has seen limited activity, with only a few Non-Immigrant visa renewals/extensions occurring. Automatic visa extensions up to April 30th have been implemented, eliminating the need for in-person visits to immigration until this date. There are discussions regarding potential continued amnesty or grace periods for visa applications beyond this date, indicating uncertainty about future regulations. Additionally, concerns about specific visa situations, such as those under consideration and transitioning tourist visas to Non-O, were raised by users.

Hopefully it will be similar tomorrow when I go to change my tourist visa to a Non-O. Im confident I have all my paperwork but not 100% convinced the TM30 I was given is actually a TM30 but im sure I'll find out tomorrow.

I have a friend who is on an under consideration stamp (she got it with the embassy letter) that was called by phone and told to come into CM immigration. Any news on situations like this??

She may have some weirdness going on with her passport. Not entirely sure. But, if they call you, go.

nice! Let's hope that well before 30-april, wisdom prevails and they announce whether the amnesty continues or if not then a Grace period to apply for extension is given. Don't want thousands on your doorstep come 1-May! 😉

That's how it should be all the time
