what about ATM withdrawals in country?

I carefully wrote my employment contract to state that all in income is considered earned in the United States, regardless of where the work is performed. Come this summer, we will see how this plays out.

I arrived in Thailand January 16 and left the same day. Came back to DMK on the 21st. Both time entering (BKK and DMK) my laminate was greeted with a big smile, no questions, and a 180 day stamp.

Schwab debit card. Free ATM in Thailand, actually they reimburse you at the end of the month for any fees, no minimum balance, no monthly fees, you can do wire transfers to your landlord‘s bank account, I believe you can set up bill pay online also. 24 seven live customer service. And you can customize it for whatever country you live in. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Have to put in a plug for the Charles Shwab debit card. I opened my account last Friday, no minimum deposit, no fees, they refund all ATM charges at the end of the month by crediting back to your account, apparently the card works very well in Thailand. You even get a brokerage account along with your checking account. I spoke to them and they are expediting delivery of my card so I will have it before I leave next month for Thailand. They have 24 seven live customer service, and are incredibly helpful.

yeah I watched that video, seems like you will need a new recent bank statement, and probably copies of all the other documents, assuming they are still valid. Seems like the bounce may be easier.

when you say extension do you mean adding another 5 years after the first period?

Here are some details, this is a remote work visa, I wrote the contract and agreement myself, and can offer this service to others, along with help starting an LLC or corporation. I forgot the trick of combining PDF files, so I did not give them as much information as I could have the first time. I only sent one bank statement, they did not ask for others. I gave an address, but they did not ask for proof of where I was staying, and I did include my flight numbers on the original Application. I’ll be glad to answer any other questions anyone has. Oh and this was through the Thai embassy in Washington DC. For proof of residence I just use a copy of my drivers license
