TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around finding the best insurance company in Thailand that offers fair pricing. Recommendations include AXA, Pacific Cross, and Pacific Prime, with some users suggesting checking comparison platforms like Mr Prakan. There are mentions of varying experiences with WR Life, indicating mixed reviews on their service and claim processes. The conversation highlights the importance of factors like claims history, coverage options, and deductibles when choosing an insurance provider.
If you are holiday / short time (60 days) traveler, the best option is to get the travelinsurance from your own country, since it may include transportation back to your country, in case of serious illness / accidents.
Strange. Only read, and maybe more important, hear from 2 people I know, they had no problems. 1 needed a 'stand' placed and was a bit afraid they would not pay because he was a paying customer for less than a year. No problem and even recommended Bangkok hospital.
like all insurance companies world wide they will always be reluctant to pay out, but in my experience if you are honest and transparent with them they will pay out what your policy entitles you to receive. I have Pacific Cross and I claimed last year, off course they investigated, but they eventually paid out.
