Need some advice. I applied for the DTV (Soft Power – Thai language) on July 31 and arrived in KL on August 3. So far, no updates. I called the embassy and was told:
* Proof of 6 months accommodation in Thailand is mandatory for all applicants (they’ll request it later)
* Most applicants are called in for an interview
* Processing time is usually a month
I own a condo in Thailand but don’t have the title deed or blue book with me — didn’t realize they’d be required. Given that, is it worth scrapping my KL application and restarting in Hanoi instead (same visa type)?
KL is draining. The embassy here is 100% stricter, and I’d rather not waste a month waiting for an interview that doesn’t guarantee approval. Open to any thoughts.
Doing dtv visa in KL, Malaysia. My tourist visa is going to expire soon and the process is taking a long time. I am a bit worried about my stay here. Any advice?
KL embassy not accepting DTV visa applications. October 8 they will open online application, until then they’re telling everyone to get tourist visas. People are pissed as you can imagine because there’s no where to get this information online.
Copied from another grouoe as a heads up.
Luckily I’m here applying for a different visa… wish me luck
Who has had experience of applying for a Non O visa in KL or Singapore - will these embassies issue visa for non citizens/residents, and is police clearance and medical cert required - their respective websites are unclear, and seem to suggest that its only avail to residents. Thanks
Has anyone recently setup a new Thai company and gone to the KL embassy for the visa?
A few old posts and sites I've read mention that they only do the visa process for those on existing non b visa's - not people who are applying for the first time.
The flight times and costs are much better to KL than Penang. I'd be interested to know of other locations you guys suggest for the Non B visa too.
