Hello, everyone. I am planning to apply for a DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) from Japan. I have one question. When applying for the visa, there is a field to enter the place of stay. For how long did you all book a hotel before applying? Is a hotel reservation for about 15 days acceptable? (The embassy information stated that proof of a stay of 15 days or more in Thailand is required, but I was concerned whether applying with the minimum number of days might lead to a rejection.) I've also heard that once rejected, it can be difficult to get approval later, which is why I'm asking."
Came back today (6 Apr) to bangkok. The immigration officer saw my reentry permit (I had ED before) and she asked if I want to use the DTV instead, I said yes and got the stamp. 🙏

This group helped me a lot so I want to share my experience.
Hey guys, as a fellow digital nomad I have no permanent residency, I've been living in Airbnbs for over a year now, is this going to be a problem when applying for the DTV? Does anyone know what I can use as a proof of address since I have nothing to show?
Has anyone used getitinerary.com to provide a flight number and hotel booking for the DTV application? Is it okay to do so? (I want to apply for the visa now to see if I can get it, as this will affect my plans in some ways... but I haven't booked a flight yet... and not 100% sure of precisely when I can go -- a few things still to settle...)
Hi, I have been trying to get a 60 day tourist visa from the Thai Embassy in Madrid and I have shown them proof of tickets to BKK and onward tickets out of Thailand to Lao not more than 60 days later, I have also shown them a reservation in BKK for 1 night but now they want to see Hotel bookings up until the point I leave for Lao, How can you possibly do this if you plan to travel around and visit different places? Is there a way around this? TIA :-)
I have an additional question regarding our trip to Thailand under the visa-waiver program (India & Taiwanese), which allows us to stay for 30 days.
I raised this question to seek a more general understanding, possibly from experienced travelers to Thailand, as the official guidelines and responses from immigration have not been forthcoming.
1. Do we need to secure confirmed hotel bookings or reservations for the entire 30-day period in advance, or is it acceptable to initially book accommodations for just one week and make additional reservations once we arrive in Thailand?
1. Alternatively, is it possible to make hotel reservations for the full 30 days and pay at a later date?
These inquiries are important as we are concerned about the overall cost of traveling and staying in Thailand.
As of now, the Royal Thai Embassy in Delhi,India has not yet issued the guidelines that should have been available by this time.
In addition, I attempted to contact immigration, but unfortunately, I haven't received a response yet. This could potentially be due to a language barrier.
Oh great, just applied for my thai pass with a hotel reservation from Booking .com only to wake up this morning and read the warning about not to use that site....FML, anyone have success with Booking .com to get their thai pass recently?
I applied for the Test&Go entry right before they canceled it, but my application was rejected anyway. I already had one night booked for the single day quarantine, but had to make a new reservation in a different hotel (as the first hotel was fully booked the following nights). Unfortunately, this was non-refundable. Does anyone know if I could sell this room to someone else, even for a cheaper price?
