Good day. I am asking for a friend. He wants to come here for 6 months.

I think I am right in telling him that there isn't a straight 6 months visa where he just comes and stays.

From what I understand it's a METV( Multi entry tourist visa) where he comes and goes after 60 and then returns for another 60 days.

I stand corrected if I am wrong.

If this is what he needs this would need to be done in the UK online.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated., 👍🙏

Hello, I am looking for a bit of advice. I plan to enter Thailand next month, I was going to go in on visa exemption for 60 days. I will then leave for 3-4weeks. When I leave the country can I then apply for the multi entry tourist visa and re enter for another 6 months(i know i have to leave every 60 days on this visa)

Any help/clarofocation would be really apprecaited 🙏

Hey folks! For those who don't fit the criteria for DTV but want to stay a few months, is there an option for 6-month tourist visa? I've heard of this and it feels like an urban legend because I'm not sure I know anyone who has actually gotten it (maybe I don't know anyone who has applied for it). If yes, which countries can successfully get a 6-month tourist visa? Thanks!

Hello

I will apply for Dtv visa from Laos. But if my DTV is not approved, can I apply for a tourist visa with triple entries to re-enter Thailand.

Greetings Peter

I am looking for a bit of advice. My wife and I would like to spend regular periods of up to 5 months in Thailand (probably once a year). I understand that there is a 6 month visa, which one can apply for in advace of a visit, but it is only possible to stay for up to 60 days at a time on this visa, i.e. it is necessary to leave Thailand twice during a 5/6 month stay. I also understand that the on arrival tourist visa of 60 days can be extended once by a further 30 days at the immigration office. My question is if we take the on arrival trourist visa, extend it by 30 days and leave the country for a few days just before the 90 days expire, can we come back into the country and obtain another on arrival tourist visa of 60 days? If so, are there limitations on this?

Hi all,

I’m currently in Thailand with a multi-entry tourist visa which I paid for online at the Thai embassy in the UK back in April and did my first trip at the end of June (ie this was all pre the announcement of DTV and other changes in July). Since then, I have stayed in Thailand 3 times for about a month each, with 1-2 week trips back to Europe and to Hong Kong in between.

Yesterday I came back for the 4th time, and immigration was very prickly this time around and required me to purchase a (any in fact) flight out of Thailand within the current 60 day window, which I did.

Now that I’m back, I was however previously planning on doing my first (and only) 30 day extension with immigration in Bangkok in December to extend my stay into early January. After that I don’t plan on coming back to Thailand for a while.

Will there be a risk to that 30 day extension given I’m now on my 4th tourist visa stamp since June, even though I have so far never maxed out my 60 day stays and just made good use of my multi entry tourist visa until now? Or is that all not relevant. I have a TM30 covering the required period for Bangkok already.

Thank you in advance for any helpful views :)

Visa run

I am German and having a multi-entry Visa.

I entered Thailand already a few times since November 2023 via BKK.

My visa is now until 1st of Feb. I am staying in Koh Phangan. As I planned to stay here 4 months I am thinking about doing a visa run to get another 60days before doing extension to 90days and visarun.

Is there anything I should pay attention to here?

If I am right I can get a tourist visa for 60 days plus 30 day extension. Plus 2 land border runs 30 days plus 30 day extension each. So that is 7 months in total. Is there a way of getting the other 5 months in 1 year to get a full 12 months ie can I do a few air border runs
