Hello

I will apply for Dtv visa from Laos. But if my DTV is not approved, can I apply for a tourist visa with triple entries to re-enter Thailand.

Greetings Peter

TLDR : Answer Summary
Peter is applying for a DTV visa in Laos and questions whether he can reapply for a tourist visa (with triple entries) if the DTV is not approved. Comments clarify that if the DTV is denied, Peter may only qualify for a single-entry tourist visa as triple-entry options have been discontinued, and to obtain a Multi-Entry Tourist Visa, one needs to be a long-term foreign resident.

IF your DTV is not approved (which is rare up there in Vientiane or Savannakhet) the only tourist visa you could get would be a single entry one.

There is no such thing as a double/triple entry tourist visa anymore. They stopped that when they came out with the 6 month METV <- multi-entry tourist visa back in 2015

In order to get the METV from either thai consulate in Lao you have to be a legal long term foreign resident there, not just a tourist.
