Hi, I’m currently holding a Mexican passport with 3 ”tourist visa” stamps for the calendar year of 2023

1.) How many “tourist visas” per a calendar year is one passport holder usually allowed ? Is it 2, 3 or possibly 4 ?

2.) Is it possible with 3 tourists visa stamps on my current passport to enter under “visa on arrival” as Mexicans passport holders are given 15 days this December as I would like to spend Xmas in Thailand ?

3.) Is there a limit of entries for visa on arrival for Mexican passport holders ? I’ve don’t only one visa on arrival last year Dec.15 & was given stay till Jan.13 (30 days post covid)

4.) Will I be able to apply for a new tourist visa for the start of 2024 as it’s a new calendar year is that right ?

Plan to leave Asia by February. Trying to make travel plans for Xmas & NYE atm.

Much appreciated & thank you in advance !

The photos of the stamps I shared earlier was from a new passport I made in Thailand early this year before leaving back to Mexico.

So if I have the following I should be fine is that right. Specifically for Bangkok and which airport would you suggest that be easier to enter DMK or Suvarnabhumi airport ?

1.) Proof of flight to leave Thailand in 2 weeks upon arrival, as I see that Mexican passport holders are allowed to stay only up to 15 days max for visa on arrival.

2.) Proof of funds in cash 10k Baht minimum

3.) Proof of hotel accommodation

Lasty, would it help if I use the airport vip service person to pick me up at the arrival gate of my flight and help bring me pass immigration ?

Thanks again in advance with answering all my questions. Much appreciated.

Hello everyone!

I am going to travel to Thailand on Nov. 4th- November 22,

I have a Mexican passport,

Will be applying for the VOA once I am there.

I wanted ask if anyone knew if I need copies of passport style photos?

Do I need to bring a pre filled VOA application?

And when showing proof of finances, do I need something printed also or can I just show them my bank account?

Thank you in advance!

Friends! Quick questions: if I do a visa exemption in Mae Sai, will they give me 15 or 30 days? (I'm Mexican) also if I pay in advance the 7 days overstay (1900 baht) but I overstay 1 more day (due to my flight dates) will they charge me 500 baht or more? Thank you, kha! ❤

Hello! I'm Mexican and going to Thailand on January. My visa is valid for two months and I would like to prolong it for 30 more days once I'm there.

Once my 90 days are over I'm going to Cambodia for a month, traveling by air and would like to reissue my visa to stay another two months in Thailand.

Looking for anyone that has done the same thing on Cambodia that could give me his/hers experience and also tell me whati need to do so.

Thank you!!!

Hi there, visa on arrival question, bit complicated. Mexican passport. I currently have a METV, which Ive used to be in Thailand for the last 5 months or so (did 2 border bounces to Laos). Im currently stamped in until 22 Oct, although the visa itself finishes on 9 Oct. No previous visa history before this METV That's all fine.

However, i will travel overseas in the región for 10 days, as of 11 Oct, returning on 22 Oct. My flight home (to México) is on 28th Oct. As my METV will be void, i plan to use the free 15 day VOA option (which Mexicans are eligible for) for the 6 days until my flight home. Flying back into BKK Airport.

I realise no one can say for sure, but is anyone aware of any rules stating that someone is not eligible for the VOA after having had a tourist visa? I plan to show the 20k, flights and hotel bookings, obviously.

Hi there - METV question. I have a valid METV (Mexican PP holder) and will need to do one more border bounce (for a 60 day entry) before it expires, my holidays ends, and i return home. I have already done 2 border bounces to the Thai Laos border at Mukdahan, since entering Thailand in late April.

This time (yesterday) i was grilled by immigration at the Mukdahan crossing, about what i'm doing, was asked for money, flights, bookings etc. Which was a bit unexpected as i thought they we're fairly relaxed.

Three questions: 1) are there many reports of Land crossings getting more hard-core? 2) as a mexican can i do a border bounce to the Mae Sai border? (Plan to travel to Chiang Rai anyway), and 3) Will i be asked for a TM30 to get a 30 day extension on an METV entry? Previously Tod said this wasnt required, but i think this may have changed. Thank you very much!

Border-run question. Mexican passport holder with a valid METV (first and only tourist visa) planning a border run to Ubon-Suvanakhet border. This would be the second entry on the visa. Go in, stay one night in Lao and return through the land border. Any expected issues or requests from the IOs there (flight tix, money, hotel bookings, etc). Thank you.

Hola! Thanks for accepting me to the group!

I'm Mexican, came on June 3rd flew from Istanbul to Bangkok and I got a 14 day visa upon arrival (which I was expecting to be 30 days) I just went to Chiang Mai immigration office trying to get a 30 day extension and they gave only 7 days. Which means I now have to leave the country next Friday the 21st.

I'm thinking about going to Laos and applying for the 30 day visa in the Thai embassy there. Can anybody tell me if there is a certain number of days that I most be out in order to come back? Or will this depend on how fast I get the new visa?

All the people I've spoke to say they never heard of such short time visas, could this be because of my Mexican passport?

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated as I was counting on the 30 days one and have already plane and hotels booked to do some island hoping in about two weeks.

Gracias!!!!
