Hello! I'm Mexican and going to Thailand on January. My visa is valid for two months and I would like to prolong it for 30 more days once I'm there.

Once my 90 days are over I'm going to Cambodia for a month, traveling by air and would like to reissue my visa to stay another two months in Thailand.

Looking for anyone that has done the same thing on Cambodia that could give me his/hers experience and also tell me whati need to do so.

Thank you!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Mexican citizen traveling to Thailand with a two-month visa can extend it for an additional 30 days upon arrival. After staying for 90 days, they can apply for a new visa to return to Thailand after visiting Cambodia. It is recommended to obtain a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa from Mexico before traveling, as this may be more beneficial than applying for an extension in Cambodia. Additionally, there are various Thai consulates in Southeast Asia that may facilitate the visa application process. Entering Thailand by land rather than air is also advised to reduce the risk of visa denial.

with your limited entry history you could use the thai consulates in Vientiane or Savannakhet Lao, Phnom Penh Cambodia, Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, Penang, Kota Bharu Malaysia or Yangon Myanmar.

Meet the requirements at that consulate get the visa, don't meet them don't get the visa..

Good Luck...I would STRONGLY suggest you get the correct visa for your planned stay. A Multiple Entry Tourist Visa issued in Mexico.

And...I would not recommend your trying to get another Tourist Visa in Cambodia. There may be other Thai Consulates in SE Asia better to apply. But no guarantee of it being issued.

What country near Thailand has a friendly consulate from with I can re issue my tourist visa??? I would like to stay for a month there and then go back to Thailand.

I'm still planing, so I will be buying the plane ticket or the bus ticket during the following week.

Thank you so much for your answers.

@Bert ******
yep...with a tourist visa from more friendly consulate than PP.

yes i read about the girl being detained in airport, a few days ago, only wanted 5 more days when she arrived... but that was when trying to enter AGAIN by air, withe METV.

that's why i think better to acces TH again by land ?

Bert Cools reality is that the traveler is from Mexico. Recent reports are of several denied entries ...with visa in hand on successive tries. Must be careful which Thai Consulate to select...and I would recommend border land crossing.
Bert *******
for his travel scheme i think the METV is quite excessive?

especially because he already has the SETV...

Sounds like you have the Single Entry Tourist Visa and you use this for your first visit for 60days, then apply for the Extension of Stay for another 30 days, Leave Thailand for 1 month. If you like to come back for another 2 months you need to buy a new Single Entry Tourist Visa at a Thai Consulate. As an Mexican passport holder it is or this Single Entry Tourist Visa for 60 days or if you do not buy this visa the 15 day Visa on Arrival.

@Robert ******
yes Robert that's exactly my plan. I would like to spend another two or three months in Thailand, for that I would need to reissue my Setv, my question is where would you recommend for me to stay for a month with a friendly Thai consulate.
Bert *******
only advice i would give you is, enter Thailand again by land, as a 3 month thai visit just prior to your cambodia visit, is quite long enough already. by land gives you less risk of getting denied.
Robert *******
As Mexican he need a Visa on Arrival and that gives maximum 15 days, not long enough to spend the requested 60 days. Setv is better.
