Hi, I have one question, is it possible to cross the Nong Khai border with an e-visa ? Or can we do a visa on arrival (for a Mexican passport holder)?

We were also thinking about the visa from Vientiane embassy but not sure about the delay.

Thank you in advance for your responses ☺️

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Mexican passport holder can cross the Nong Khai border using an e-visa or by obtaining a visa stamped in their passport from the Vientiane embassy. However, many land borders, including Nong Khai, do not offer visa on arrival services, which are typically available only at airports.

Do you already have the e-visa in your possession?

then you can't enter Thailand with a visa which you do not have and you can't get an e-visa if you are in Laos, you have to go to a Thai consulate in Laos and apply for a visa in person

It's possible with an evisa or a visa stamped in your passport from Vientiane. Many land borders do not offer visa on arrival though. That's generally done at airports.

when I tried on the evisa page it say that we are not eligible because we are now in Laos I don’t understand 🙄

the Thai embassy in Laos does not participate in evisa. None of the Thai embassies in SE Asia participate in evisa. They are application in person only. You did not advise you were already in Laos in your original post or I would have told you this.

To enter Laos you can do it with a eVisa or VoA at the land border

You cannot get a eVisa for Thailand from Laos, you apply in person
