Has anyone done the Ranong to Myanmar visa run lately? I’ve been told I need a brand new $10 bill for the Myanmar immigration, does anyone know if there is a currency exchange booth there or at the Ranong port? Any advice or suggestions, I’m in Ranong now and doing run tomorrow morning

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post queries about the requirements for the Ranong to Myanmar visa run, specifically asking about the necessity for a new $10 bill for immigration and whether there is a currency exchange at the Ranong port. A comment suggests using a 'yanky dollar'.

I’m asking if there is somewhere at the port in Ranong or on the Myanmar border where I can exchange bahts to dollars

If you are doing it yourself rather than using the speedboat service for a fixed fee then you can get a crisp $10 note from the little shop just in front of the pier - it’s where they will do the photocopying for you. The rate of exchange won’t be in your favour but you’ll get a crisp note.
