My ED extension expires tomorrow and I was going to cancel the extension today. But given the massive crowd at Chaengwattana today, I am having second thoughts and thinking of cancelling it only when I return to Bangkok again.

I plan to return to Bangkok only after I obtained my Non-B instead.

Would it be a big issue to cancel the extension only after I return back to Bangkok? What is the advice of the sages here? Should I try to cancel it tomorrow before before catching my flight instead? How complicated and how much time do I need for the cancellation?

I'm currently at immigration Chaengwattana. I'm here to change my current education extension to retirement/age over 50. After speaking to Ursula at the ticket counter she put me in queue for N1 (non-ED visa).

Entered the Kingdom with a Non-immigrant "ED" visa on April 4th and I am currently on the tail end of my last extension to study Thai.

I have all the required docs. Am I in the correct queue?
