I'm in Bangkok with a Smart T VISA that I will have to cancel soon. Can anybody recommend a VISA agent that can help me with my next VISA? I'm hoping to stay for at least another 6 months 🙏

Yes, I offered to cancel the Smart T VISA myself so that they could then apply for a new VISA, but they said it is not possible đŸ¤ˇâ€â™‚ī¸

Thai VISA Centre tell me that is not possible after having a Smart VISA, but I am not sure why that would be the case. I'd certainly like one, if somebody can help me arrange it.

I understand why. The SMART visa is managed by the BOI, while tourist and volunteer visas are managed by immigration (basically). You'll have to cancel your existing extension of stay at the BOI immigration office, and then go to the regular immigration office and get the other visa.

What's your next plan? If you just want to stay here for a few more months, get an 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. It's 1,900 THB
