DTV soft power approved from Vancouver, Canada. Applied on December 9th and approved the same day.
Documents included:
Letter of invitation from House of Taste 6 month cooking course and included a personalized cover letter explaining my reasons for joining the program and aspirations once finished.
5 months of bank statements >500,000 THB with cover letter outlining exchange rate and table of contents.
Proof of current location included flight home from Thailand (arrived December 7th in Vancouver) and receipts of groceries and train home from airport next to my passport.
Past visas include 4 visa exempt stays over the past 2 years, with 3 of them being extended. Very happy with this turnaround and result, I've heard good things about applying from Canada and it lived up to the expectation.
No more questions now from me as I feel I have all the information I need to successfully move to Thailand to live. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me.
Hi. I'd like to apply for a DTV visa in Poland. I have an employment contract with a new employer from September 1st. I work 100% remotely. I've spoken with my employer and they can issue me a document authorizing me to work from Thailand. Do you have any experience with this? Will the embassy approve this form of employment for two months?
My ticket is through the Delta app. The app is instructing me to fill out a TDAC and it is through a third party within the app. I land in South Korea before making my final flight to BKK. Is this the only TDAC I need or will I need another for Thailand since I will be changing carriers in South Korea.
Hey, I have a question about the financial proof of 500,000 THB required for the DTV visa application.
Is it possible to use a bank statement from Revolut for this, and do the Pockets count as part of the total balance?
I use Pockets a lot to separate my funds, so not all of the money is always in the main account. On the Revolut statement, there’s a balance summary at the top showing “Account (current account)”, “Personal and Group Pockets”, and then the “Total”.
The full statement shows all current account transactions first and then lists the Personal & Group Pockets separately.
Has anyone had experience using a Revolut statement like this for the DTV visa proof of funds?
My WP32 has been issued, and I am currently in Laos. Could you please confirm that the application for a Non-B visa can now be fully completed online — meaning no original documents are required anymore?
In other words, I would just need to submit the application online uploading all requested documents, make the payment, and then receive the visa by email.
Just adding a data point. Arrived in BKK, we had to fill out TDAC, the TDAC asked for leave date and airline flight, we picked a random one about 6 months from now and filled that in. When we went continued through immigration and got stamped no questions were asked, we simply gave them our A1 printed out visas and was stamped for 6 months.
Is there any additional forms, or reporting needed on our end if we plan on staying 6 months?
