Hi folks,

I qualify and can prove that I work for a multi national company remotely and can show finances etc.....

1. I'm thinking of applying at either: Vientiane, KL, or HCMC embassies. What is the preffered ?

2. Is applying for DTV having had multiple marriage visas frowned upon or can be flagged for any reason ?

3. We have a house in Thailand in my wife's name and myself as gaurantnee on a mortgage document from about 18 years ago. Address is also on my thai bank statement. What is required for a non hotel address ?

4. Is proof funds from my thai bank account ok ?

Thanks in advance

Has anyone successfully applied for a DTV whilst outside of their home country? We are currently between Malaysia/Indonesia and want to apply with British passports, but not sure if there’s a nearby embassy we can apply to.

Hello! I’m coming to Thailand via visa exemption at the end of July and plan to stay for as long as possible until the end of the year.

Currently, excluding the chance of a covid extension and border runs, I would at best have to leave by late September to get a proper tourist visa elsewhere. What would be the nearest or most accessible (flight cost, distance, etc.) Embassy/Consulate where I could apply for one? Phnom Penh, Manila, Kuala Lumpur? I am assuming that I cannot apply from Thailand.

Thanks!

STV Evisa rejected in less than 24 hours for "applying to wrong Embassy in US". I guess you can't apply to any Embassy.

Hi everyone. I have to apply for my non-b at the end of the month. My school is preparing the info from the MOE. Which would be the easiest embassy to go to? I am in Phuket. I also have my 5 year old with me who will be applying for her ED Visa. It's a bit frustrating because my extension ends in the 2nd and we go on break on the 4th and my days off will come off of my pay. Is there any chance of some leniency if I go to Immigration in advance?

Also probably a silly question but will I need proof of onward travel?

Thank you again.

RENEWAL - TOURIST VISA. Dear community, thanks for all the great posts. I'd like to share fresh info on visa renewal, and I need your inputs on this, pls.

The case is, that my gf is a Nicaraguan citizen. She got a 60 days tourist visa in from the Thailand embassy in Denmark (where I'm from). We meant to stay in Thailand for a short time before moving on to Indonesia, but have decided to stay in Thailand for a year, if possible. Siam Legal's advise on the "Nicaraguan case" is to have two x 60 days visa renewal at immigration offices in Penang, Bali etc.. I forgot to ask if prior to this, she should go for a simple renewal at the Bangkok Immigration office?

To extend further, they suggest for a 5 month tourist visa at the embassy in her home country, but there is no such thing in Nicaragua, and Siam Legal has no ideas if that she can apply for the 5 month tourist visa at an alternative embassy.

However, they suggest to look into the study-Thai option, and Id love to hear your experiences on this in regard to this particular context.

I just had a quick talk with a well reputed agent, suggesting, that the visa can be renewed "several times", using different embassies/countries for this. Any inputs and recommendations on this, and above 3 questions, will be most appreciated.

Cheers
