APPROVED - Los Angeles, 5 hours. I didn’t believe it could happen, but it happened last week. I read dozens reports of 30+ days, and saw one or two of <48 hours. My goal was to try to get this right on the first run.
This group helped me a lot so I wanted to add more info. Context - im an entrepreneur with business partners so it was a little bit more complex, but spent a good 5 hours getting everything properly in order. Here’s what I provided for the Workation DTV:
* Passport biodata
* Drivers license
* 3 months of bank statements with 6 figures of funds, with name and address matching license
* Cover letter on company letterhead explaining who I am, my company, explaining that I can work remotely, and confirming that I will not to any work in Thailand for outside companies or within the Thai labor market
* company registration documents (articles of organization)
I’m looking into applying for the DTV (from UK) under the Workcation/freelancer route and was wondering if anyone here has been approved with a similar situation to mine.
Here’s a bit about me:
* Previously worked from home in automotive engineering industry making a decent salary.
* I’ve left that role in September to start my own online business (currently pre-revenue).
* I could pick up contracting work in engineering again if needed.
* I do someoccasional freelance work (web/marketing) for UK clients - not full-time, maybe £500-£1000pm.
* I have plenty of savings and no intention of working with or for Thai companies.
Essentially, I’m self-funded, with a past track record of income, some light freelance work now, and the ability to earn more if needed.
Has anyone been approved with a similar profile - e.g. early-stage entrepreneurs or part-time freelancers without a fixed monthly income?
Good morning to all in Thailand. I am inquiring about visa requirements: is a physical therapy clinic categorized under the medical section of the visa or are specific requirements necessary for that section of the visa?
Question about getting a working/entrepreneur visa:
I'm coming to Thailand soon to visit and maybe start a business (quality & healthy fast food concept).
Do you know which visa should I apply for if I want to settle & start this business in Thanland ? And Is it better to apply before arrival or in Thailand.
