Yes some DTV holders are asked extra questions at Phuket airport but it is normal and fast. Officer may ask to see proof of funds or remote work or return ticket or where you stay. Just have your DTV eVisa print plus bank statement and job letter and accommodation address on phone or paper. Answer calm and short and they will stamp you for one eighty days.

To avoid delay keep phone charged and have docs in one folder and be polite. If they pull you to side room it is just extra check not denial. Phuket immigration is used to DTV now so most pass in five to ten minutes. Enjoy your stay.
