During this past week, several Thai Embassies and Consulates around the world have officially announced and posted Notices that they will go to the Thai E-Visa website [members only]/ system to accept Thai E-Visa applications, process, and issue Thai E-Visas starting on the New Year, 01 January 2025.

Generally, they will stop accepting in-person visa application submissions and stop issuing Thai Visa Stickers on Christmas Eve, 24 December 2024, with a few Thai Embassies/Consulates stopping before that on 20 December 2024 or earlier. At Taipei, they will stop on 27 December 2024.

Do note the processing times with Thai E-Visa are longer than before with many announcements stating 10–15 working days to process and issue Thai E-Visas.

Also, some Thai Embassies/Consulates will NOT be accepting card payments via the Thai E-Visa website, but will instead be accepting payments in Cash after submitting an Thai E-Visa application via the website.

Those Thai Embassies/Consulates that have announced this different method of payment (Cash) are: Vientiane, Savannakhet, Yangon, India, Brunei, Pakistan, Tel Aviv, Jordan, others....

These announcements are in line with the stated goal of the Thai Government to change all 94 Thai Embassies/Consulates around the world to the Thai E-Visa website system by December 2024.

Hi,

I just wanted to clarify something with people that already did the DTV.

Is the total cost of the VISA for 5 years (Excluding extensions) 10,000 bath?

Is any other type of VISA like ED mandatory?

I've contacted multiple agencies, and they all try to push their language / cooking / course on top of it.

So again, is another type of VISA like ED mandatory or is enough to pay the DTV and have all the requirements (income/savings/etc.).?

Thanks!

Hello

We need help with the Non Immigrant O Marriage Visa, since we keep running into different information and can't find a legit source.

I am thai citizen and my fiance (U.S citizen) is already here in thailand with the tourist visa. We are going to register our marriage next month. After that, we want to apply for the Visa.

Confusing to us:

1. some sources claim that we need

- proof of income

AND

- X amount of THB on an account

some sources say we only need one of these requirements. What is true?

2. How do we prove the income? Does it has to be a bank statement with his name or can it be the bank statement of my name (the income gets transfered to my account, because he can't open an account without visa).

Would it even be possible to prove it with a letter from his employer?

3. We are not sure if/how we are able to apply with him being here already. On the website it seems we can only apply from abroad.

We would appreciate any kind of help and support! Thank you!

Has anyone had a DTV application rejected? Would they contact you first to provide additional information if needed before rejecting you?

DTV Visa approved via hanoi.

I applied based on soft power. Made a dentist appointment at Bangkok Hospital. Booked an appointment at Hanoi consulate، submit my application on Thursday and got my visa today. Here in hanoi take 3 working days not include the day you submit your application.

Good luck to you all.
