I have two questions that I have looked for and I couldn't find any answers. If I missed something, I apologize.

1. If I apply in my home country and leave to another country (not thailand) before the approval, could that be an issue? and

2. I was asked for 500k THB (12500 Euro) which is less than 500k THB - did anyone get approved with only 12500 Euro instead of the 500k thb equivalent in Euro? I could get the money, but I wouldn't sell more stocks to realize gains/pay taxes and have it sitting around in a savings account if it can be avoided :D

Thanks a lot

1 of my main concerns is that I have a few different accounts that I keep my money in and I would have to transfer the amount of 500K equivalent into 1 bank account, therefore I would not be able to give 3 or 6 months statements showing 500K but I would be able to show the full amount on the day of applying.Any recommendations on where I could apply and this would not be a problem? Is there anyone else that was in a similar situation?

My wife and I are US citizens in Chiang Mai. We have been on Non-OA retirement visas extensions. The most recent time was applying from the US, getting multiple entry e-visas for each of us. Extensions will expire February 12, 2024.

Now we want to renew-extend.

How can my wife can come under me as dependent instead of each of us having to supply the financial requirements for two different individuals.?

I'm also wondering how to notarize income by the US consulate. I read they have stopped this. In the past we would show our finances in US Banks with the consulate affidavit.

Do I have to do the 800,000 baht deposit for each person?

Right now I have the Thai bank account because in the past, I was the main person and my wife was the dependent.

This would require my wife opening her own bank account?

Just wondering how to conduct this in the simplest way.

Thanks very much .

So with the 400k for marriage visa... After they give you the visa do they just not care anymore or do you need to show it at each renewal?

After the non-o (Thai wife) yearly extension got approved, does the 400,000 still need to be left in the account for the whole year until the next extension?

I am an Indian passport holder.

Thank you

Need advice please.

My plan is to retire in Thailand by reason of age. I will have the 800k baht to leave in account but only when I arrive there. What will be the best visa to get (uk based) to ensure I fulfill the requirements of the 2and 3 months quota of leaving the cash in bank. TIA.
