Hi, I am looking to apply for the DTV soon from the UK. I was wondering if anyone knows how long the 500,000 baht needs to be in the bank account for before and after the application? Do they check every entry?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV visa from the UK, the 500,000 baht needs to be present in your bank account at the time of application. There is no minimum duration requirement for how long it must be held before the application. While immigration does not check every transaction, they will require that you show an updated balance of 500,000 baht that has been stable for 30 days or more if you decide to extend your stay at a Thai immigration office.

For the UK, the 500k needs to be there when you submit, no minimum length of time. They don't check every entry, final balance is the priority. If you extend your stay at a Thai immigration office you need to show an updated balance of 500K that has been there for 30 days or more.

Re Davies Vietnam, same as the UK. Majority of embassies have no minimum length of time for the 500k THB to be deposited. Laos requires 3 months, Malaysia 6 months.
