When applying for the DTV visa from the UK, the 500,000 baht needs to be present in your bank account at the time of application. There is no minimum duration requirement for how long it must be held before the application. While immigration does not check every transaction, they will require that you show an updated balance of 500,000 baht that has been stable for 30 days or more if you decide to extend your stay at a Thai immigration office.
