A quick question about the e-visa situation from Thai embassy London. When applying for a SINGLE ENTRY non immigrant visa o based on Thai wife they ask for proof of either 400k or having a monthly income in the UK of over 40k per month. Everywhere else I've ever applied for my single entry they do not require this. My question is is this the e-visa website failing to properly consider single entry requirements or is this actually the requirements for a single entry from the UK.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a SINGLE ENTRY non immigrant visa O based on marriage to a Thai spouse, the Thai embassy in London requires proof of sufficient funds. Specifically, applicants must show either 400,000 THB in a bank account or a monthly income of over 40,000 THB. This requirement appears to be standard for applications from the UK, differing from other locations where such proof may not be necessary.
I'm not sure where you've applied before, but this is a normal requirement. The only places I know of that don't require it are some of the Thai embassies in SE Asia where you still have to apply in person. I don't know if a single e-visa consulate that doesn't require proof of funds for a marriage visa.
yes for single entry. The multiple entry isn't even available anymore except at 3 embassies and they will all be switching to e-visa soon so that will be gone then as well.
