Hi all. Think I have this right ! If a non O retirement visa is granted. I have 30 days to arrive in Thailand and receive 60 day visa. Is that correct? If that’s the case I now need to open a bank account deposit 800k baht but it needs to be in there for 2 months before I apply for an extension ? Is that right. Thanks in advance

Hi guys, I just did the 1 year extension on the marriage visa. First I was thinking I have to keep the money in the bank all the time, but considering I got the 1 year stamp and need to do only drive through 90 days reports and some comments I've seen here lately, it seems like I can use these money now? Or I will have problems obtaining next extension in 1 year if I don't keep them untouched? 🙏

Non O Retirement Extension Questions.

What is the min - max number of days before it expires that you can apply for the 1 year extension?

Topping up the 400K to 800K 2 months prior, is that prior to the application date or the expiry date?

Non-im type O over 50 Aug 2nd deadline coming up. Have done 12 mo. extension three times before so have papers eg., tm30, passport pages, bank letter and statements showing two months seasoning of 800k.

Would like to take flight home 24 June for 5-6 weeks but I might have to wait an extra week before I can go to immigration.

Jomtien office will allow max. 30 days before deadline to process extension. Any chance I can convince them to approve the extension tomorrow, I think about 37 days before the deadline? Curious if anyone has found Jomtien to be flexible on this.

Also I don't remember how much time the "under consideration" takes. If extension approved, will I get my passport back the same day or does it take multiple days or a week?

Good morning everyone. I went to chiang mai immigration yesterday to get my first covid extension. My non o thai wife finished in may and I have already had a 60 day extension. My extension finishes end of December. I applied at the desk and about an hour later me and my wife where called in the back to be interviewed by the boss. He asked why I haven't got 40000 baht for the extension and my wife told him we have 3 children to take care of

He stamped my passport until the end of February and wished us good luck. 2 hours in total. Irish passport by the way.
