How strictly does Chiang Mai immigration enforce the two-month seasoning requirement for bank funds when extending a non-O visa?

Does anyone have any experience on how strictly Chiang Mai immigration would apply the two-month seasoning requirement for the bank account you need for extension of a non-O visa? My Krungsi account has the 800,000+ baht in it but the second of my wire transfers came in around 55 days before my first 3 month non-O expires, not a full 60 days. Is it worth trying to apply for extension now anyway or should I just exit and seek another non-O from Vietnam like I did last time?
Answer summary
The discussion revolves around the strictness of Chiang Mai immigration in applying the two-month seasoning requirement for bank funds necessary for the extension of a non-O visa. The consensus is clear: immigration requires that the funds be in the account for a full two months before applying for the extension. There are options such as potentially overstaying to meet the requirement or seeking a family-related extension if applicable. However, most responses suggest adhering strictly to the regulations or exiting to reapply in another country if necessary.

Have you tried talking to your local Immigration Office? Don’t bullshit, just explain the situation and listen to their advice

I think the requirements are clear enough, so you should just stick to them

Although you are going for a retirement extension do you have Thai family (wife or child) because if that is the case you might be able to get the Visit Thai Family 60 day extension to allow your 800k to season fully. If this applies to you ask your Immigration Office if they will allow you to apply, if they say no then explain your circumstances (with your bank book showing your deposit date) and they might make an exeption for you.

Paddy Kan the "reason" for the application must be present when the application is submitted

This happened to a friend of mine and he went into immigration for advice and they allowed him to pay the overstay and then apply, but it was only 2 days.

There isn't any leeway. The requirement is clear. 2 full calendar months at the time you apply. It's not 50 days. It's not 60 days. It's 2 months.

Your only potential option which I would advise against is to go on overstay the few days until your money has fully seasoned. After that the immigration office may accept your application and fine you 500 baht per day overstay fine, and then backdate your extension to when your visa entry stamp ended.

The other option is as you say, leave and start over.

Why not get a 30-day extension?

it's not possible. That's a tourist extension and this person did not enter as a tourist. They entered on a non-O visa, so the only extension they can apply for is the 1-year extension based on the same reason the visa was issued for.
