What is the process for obtaining an international school parent/guardian visa in Thailand, and can you recommend a reliable agent?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an agent that specialises in international school and parent/guardiian visas? My friend is getting the run-around from the school's agent.

Does anyone know the process? First she was was told to get the certficate notarised by the Thai Embassy in UK where he was born. It would take just two weeks -- but it's taken more than a month now and she still hasn't received the original. Now school begins next week. They are in Dubai. If they apply there, it would take too long to get the visa .

So option is coming in to Thailand on a tourist visa. Then applying for the student visa -- 15 days easy. He is given 3 months before the extension for one year.

The Father tho has to supply bank statements --- he only has a British bank. Before agent said ok, but now she says it must be a Thai bank? ! what? How can he do that? Then he goes to Laos to apply for his visa. Please help -- my dear friend is confused and the agent is not answering her questions -- just telling her to confirm and pay 45,000 plus service fees and she will arrange visit to immigration.

Can someone shed light on this to help out -- please explain the procedure if possible and the approximate price and recommend an agent that you have had a good experience with.
