Can I apply for a DTV soft power visa if my bank balance has only been held for two months?
Questions for any Aussie that have applied recently for DTV soft power visa.
Since 26th September I have had the required $21k + in the account.
We are due to fly out on the 31st of December to BKK.
If I apply for the Visa at the very start of December will I have an issue as the money has only been in there since 26th sep. from what I am reading it needs to be in there for a total of 3 months. This would take me to 26th December (right in the middle of holiday time) and not enough time to process the visa.
My question is if I provide them with September, October and November bank statements, does this pose an issue as the majority of the money only went in late September.
My daughter will be flying on an ED student visa as she will be attending international school.
Any insights would be very helpful. Thank you

OPI’m interested to see if anyone has done something similar already. I am between a rock and a hard place as my daughter starts school there on the 10th Jan and can’t wait too much longer

I’m about to do mine. But if I was you, I wouldn’t risk it. It would be just another excuse for them not to grant it.

OPMatt Wilde I would have thought that three months worth of statements shows a total of $30K + which is well above the required about as well as proof of income $90K AUD PA
