How long does the DTV Soft Power visa application process take in London?
Hello group,
I submitted my DTV Soft Power application to the London Embassy last Thursday (27 August).
Since then, nothing on the application appears to have moved whatsoever, and the status has remained in "Pending Document Check" throughout.
Is this a usual timeline, or would it be worth sending an email early next week if there is no further movement?

Mine took a couple of days in Mid August BUT I am sure that they will have had a load more applications compared to normal , when they announced the changes.

Always plan at least 4 weeks when applying for the DTV regardless if some of the Embassies are processing the applications faster. In conclusion just be patient

Jesus. It takes 3-4 weeks

Never chase unless it’s been over a month. Some of these embassies get annoyed, and one was actually known to cancel someone for pestering them constantly.

They have up to 15 working days, so wait calmly, my friend.

Anonymous participant Yes, they requested about 6 or 7 extra documents the day after I applied. It was a 9 month cookery course.

That's normal for many embassies. My application took almost 2 months

I put mine in 27th and herd back asking for more info 2nd....not herd since then 🤞🏽stressful isnt it

It is completely normal, status change to doc request or pending approval should come at the end of next week.
