Hi, I need some help. Country: Netherlands.

I want to apply for DTV Soft Power/ Medical Care. Have been to Bangkok Hospital yearly for 3 years in a row now.

My "problem" is:

Wait for the 500K stay in my bank account for 3 months before applying in a neighbour country of Thailand? And enter Thailand with a tourist visa for now.

Or: try and apply after 1 month of having the 500K in my bank account . Apply from The Netherlands. And take my chances that hopefully it won't be a probleml having the 500K in my account just for a 1 month.

Any Dutchies have experience with this?

Thanks for any help in advance! 🙏😊

Hello,

I'm here on a student visa for a total of 9 months. I'm planning to go for a holiday (2 weeks)outside of Thailand in April and at the end of May, I'm planning to go back to my home country for a family visit, also 2 weeks.

I know that I have to buy a re-entry permit for these 2 trips but I've read that immigration might refuse entry back into Thailand because it is a student visa.

Does anyone have experience with this?

I'm Dutch and I go to Thai language school. And i have never done a visa run or anything similar, maybe this is useful information.

Hello everyone,

I’m a Dutch citizen preparing for my long-term stay in Thailand on the DTV visa. I’m considering cancelling my Dutch health insurance since I will deregister from the Netherlands, as it is no longer required. However, I have some questions regarding travel insurance.

Does anyone here have experience with a travel insurance policy, specifically covering medical expenses, for a full year? How does deregistering from the Netherlands affect travel insurance coverage?

Also, would it be possible or advisable to get a good health insurance or travel insurance directly in Thailand?

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance.

Hi all,

I'm Dutch and on my 2nd year extension of a non imm o single entry. Sorry if I had been able to derive this from all previous posts but I lossed track a bit.

I know the affidavit from Dutch Embassy is still valid for a year extension.

Also "the new 800k฿ stuff" is valid for us.

My questions:

Is the "12 months 65k฿ international bank transfer method" (introduced for the 4 countries from whom the embassy does not issue this affidavit anymore) also applicable for us Dutch ? So a kind of addition method for us ?

Is the combination method (banked money plus monthly income) still valid for us ?

Thanks !!
