I want to apply for DTV Soft Power/ Medical Care. Have been to Bangkok Hospital yearly for 3 years in a row now.
My "problem" is:
Wait for the 500K stay in my bank account for 3 months before applying in a neighbour country of Thailand? And enter Thailand with a tourist visa for now.
Or: try and apply after 1 month of having the 500K in my bank account . Apply from The Netherlands. And take my chances that hopefully it won't be a probleml having the 500K in my account just for a 1 month.
Any Dutchies have experience with this?
Thanks for any help in advance! šš

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether to wait for three months after transferring 500,000 to their bank account before applying for a DTV Soft Power visa or to apply after just one month and possibly risk rejection. Various comments provide insights into personal experiences with visa applications, highlighting differences in rules across countries, the importance of maintaining a 3-month bank statement, and alternative suggestions, such as applying through third-party services in neighboring countries.
If you want to open a bank account and live hassle free, better to get education visa first and later on switch to DTV. I got my DTV in the Netherlands last year within 3 days but now I am having problems paying etc. locally cos I cannot open bank account on DTV. It becomes expensive if you add up in the short and long-run. Just my two cents.

I doubt if a hospital visit once a year will qualify for DTV, that also can easily be done on visa exempt, so there is a risk your application will be rejected.
In Hungary, I transferred the same day to my Wise when I applied So the money was there just less a day ago... I got the DTV in 4 days. That is an option too for you to come to Hungary, it could be a very cheap and quick flight for you. You should book something on booking.com and submit the booking receipt as proof of staying. Just and idea..

Anonieme deelnemer 822 Where you in Thailand too before going to Bali and apply in Jakarta? Cause I'm wondering if this would be a problem. An did you have to go to Jakarta in person for the application?
I was in Thailand. From there we went to Bali and applied. Everything is done online and so need to go to Jakarta, you just need to be in Indonesia and able to provide proof of being there. Just make sure all your documents are in order
