Thanks group! So far you’ve been invaluable. Will post my full experience soon. But….
I’m waiting for my 90 day Non O - to - Marriage visa extension to be approved. I’ve done everything, post 45 days immigration office visit. Then, my home visit 7 days later… etc.
My decision date is mid June. .. but, my mother is very unwell, she has dementia, sadly. So I need to fly back to the U.K for 5 nights next week. I’ll buy the re-entry permit that I’m required to of course, and I’ll be be back in Thailand at least 10 days before my immigration appointment for my marriage extension conclusion.
Hello everyone quick question. When doing the TDAC when we fill out the question that asks for visa no. do we fill in our re-entry permit number or visa number?
Also when we fill out the "country/territory of residence" portion do we put our thai address or home country address? In the past I think I used my home country.
I have read through several posts, both from users and mods about not exiting, even with re-entry permit on an non immigrant ED visa (for studying Thai language or those types of courses) due to several people being denied entry via DMK/Suvarnabhumi or any entry through air.
Most of these posts were from the Covid days or 2023 and older ([members only]/)
Are there any recent reports (last few months/weeks) of anyone who has non immigrant ED visa -extended several times, has re-entry permit stamped, and getting back into Thailand through land border successfully?
I simply want to see if there are any new updates regarding this.
I entered Thailand a month ago on a Non-Immigrant O visa, but haven’t transferred the 800K THB yet. Due to a change in circumstances, I need to return to my home country next month and stay for about two months. Because of this, I don’t plan to transfer the funds until I return to Thailand. Will this cause any issues when I apply for the same type of visa again soon?
Hello quick question. I've asked it before but it's been years and wondering if it has changed. Where is the re-entry permit at Don Muang airport? Is it done before or after the exit stamp? Also where can I download the Tm.8 it's not in the group files?
I am leaving the country and I have a retirement visa when I come back will I need to go to immigration office for my 60 day renewal or will it be ok that airport immigration stamped my passport
Hi everyone, I am a seafarer on a merchant fleet and my wife and I are currently living in Thailand. I initially considered applying for the new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) as a seafarer, but I understand that DTV is for remote workers and digital nomads, and I may not qualify under this category as I am not a remote worker.
So now we are exploring a different option, and I have some specific questions:
1. At first I wanted to apply as the main applicant (Muay Thai training program as the activity) and my wife as dependent. But I realized that in this case her visa fully depends on mine. If I get delayed at sea (for example, more than 6 months), she cannot stay in Thailand without me and cannot exit/re-enter by border run to reset her stay. So now I am thinking of switching roles and letting my wife be the main applicant.
2. Could my wife apply as the main applicant (for example, cooking school program), and I apply as dependent? Would Thai Immigration accept me as a male dependent spouse?
3. We are currently living in Thailand, but plan to fly to Romania and apply for DTV visas at the Thai Embassy in Bucharest based on this plan. Does anyone have experience applying for DTV in Romania?
4. If we don’t get the DTV visas abroad, we will return to Thailand. I will enter as a tourist (which is fine), but my wife has already spent almost 3 years continuously in Thailand on a student ED visa. We will take a re-entry permit for her before leaving, but will this long history of ED visa cause any problems at the airport or with Immigration? Also, if she returns with a valid re-entry permit, will she be able to extend her current ED visa again as normal?
Any personal experience or advice would be highly appreciated. We want to be 100% legal and safe, even with my frequent travels as a seafarer.
