Can I get a re-entry permit with an expired METV? Visa expired on March 7th, I got stamped in before that until May 5th. I have to leave the country to pick something up in Singapore though. I do not want to lose my last entry.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can obtain a re-entry permit based on your entry stamp which allows you to stay until May 5th, even though your METV expired on March 7th. It's essential to purchase this permit before leaving the country to ensure that your permitted stay upon returning remains valid.

and the answer is YES you can get a re-entry permit on the existing "admitted until" stamp you got off your now expired tourist visa.

Thanks Tod!

The visa WAS valid till March 7th. So that Visa is a nice memory in your passport. If you like to leave you must buy the re-entry permit to keep you stay till May 5th alive on return.

The question is not if I must, but rather if I even can. Google results only talk about every other kind of visa, but not a re-entry on the METV. I just want to make sure, that they will give me a re-entry permit.
