TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a re-entry permit while on a marriage visa in Thailand, you can apply at your local immigration office or at the airport before your flight. At the local office, you need to complete the TM8 form, provide a passport photo, copies of your passport and latest extension stamp, and the fees are 1,000 baht for a single entry or 3,800 baht for a multiple entry. If applying at the airport, you generally only need your passport, but be prepared for a 200 baht admin fee if you don’t have the completed form and copies.

You can get one at anytime at your local immigration office. Or you can get one before your flight at the airport - allow around 20 minutes to get one there.

If at an immigration office you’ll need to fill out a form called TM8. A passport photo, a copy of your passport, and a copy of your latest extension stamp. Cost is 1,000 baht for a single entry or 3,800 baht for a multiple entry.

At the airport you don’t need anything other than your passport but they usually charge an admin fee of 200 baht extra if you don’t have the form, photo and copies to hand.

it expires when your entry stamp expires.

good, clear explanation.

No expiry as such. All the re-entry does is keep your current “allowed to stay date” alive. Obviously it would have to be used before that date.

Is there an expiry date as such on the re entry permit or once issued its in your passport until you use?
